                      Our Mission

The EOS Group supports women artisans in South Asia, the Middle East and elsewhere in the developing world, seeking out artisan producers and forms them into viable production units, aiding producers to develop their products to sell locally as well as in western markets.   The EOS Group develops items based on designs reflecting the existing culture and its traditions.

                                                              Our Methods

Training workshops and seminars are structured to fit the needs of each indigenous group and may include such topcs as improved production systems, quality control, preferred color and fabric choices, improved design and structure, use of standardized sizing as well as business operations in the west.

An important aspect of the EOS Group is the focus on marketing, the link that brings improved products into viable selling venues.   EOS takes part in various markets for product testing and evaluation.

The EOS Group, founded in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, moved headquarters in 2009 to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to include womens of New Orleans, La and the Mississippi Gulf Coast who were displaced or disenfranchised due to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

EOS Group was formed by a small group of women who have lived and worked for many years in South Asia and the Middle East, bringing a wide breadth of knowledge and experience to form an exceptional coalition.  Collective experience includes textile art design, small business development, consultancy to women's development projects, multiple language skills, and promotion and marketing.

The EOS Group feels that success of these local women artisans and their subsequent elevation in their societies and in their own self respect is greatly enhanced by developing organizational skills, outside design input and training in business processes and English language skills.   The education of women in a village or group ensures the continuing empowerment of women for years to come.

EOS has added its collective voice and expertise to those already working with artisans around the world to empower women through their artistry and to preserve traditional cultural arts for future generations.

The EOS Group is a proud affiliate of the UNESCO Global Alliance for Cultural Diversity.
